0.1.0-beta.3.1

v0.1.0-beta.3.1

A documentation refresh that gives every package a clearer story, a faster start and one consistent Pimolu voice.

This preview records the verified source state. All five packages are published on npm at 0.1.0-beta.3.1 with the latest and beta tags. No runtime API changed from beta.3. Pimolu UI remains a beta release.

At a glance

What matters in beta.3.1

  • Five READMEs, one voice. Every package now explains what it is for, what is inside, how to install it and how it relates to the rest of the family.
  • A faster first success. Each page starts with a real install command and a short, copyable example instead of a wall of API detail.
  • One package map. The React, CSS, theme, token and core packages link to each other so you can choose the right layer without guessing.
  • Documentation-only release. The runtime and public APIs are unchanged from beta.3. This version exists so the improved READMEs can ship to npm.
npm beta

Published packages

  • Five library packages share the 0.1.0-beta.3.1 version: design-tokens, themes, core, react and web-styles.
  • All five are published on npm. The latest and beta dist-tags point to 0.1.0-beta.3.1.
  • Install the React surface with npm install @pimolu/react@beta @pimolu/web-styles@beta.
  • The tag v0.1.0-beta.3.1 marks the source state.
bash
npm install @pimolu/react@beta @pimolu/web-styles@beta
Documentation

A package story that starts with the why

  • @pimolu/react presents the 129 families, the Provider, the quick start and typed named-part customization without hiding the CSS step.
  • @pimolu/web-styles explains the complete stylesheet, the layered entry and the per-component CSS path with a clear choice between them.
  • @pimolu/themes distinguishes colour themes, the seven presets and the data exports used by tooling and other platforms.
  • @pimolu/design-tokens shows both the CSS variables and the plain nested JSON, without describing a format the package does not ship.
  • @pimolu/core keeps the focus on createVariants, typed VariantProps and the fact that it never generates CSS.
Reference

Documentation and tooling

  • The package READMEs now share a consistent structure: why, at a glance, install, quick start, package family, documentation and status.
  • The website builds 303 pages, including this release and the refreshed component reference.
  • English and French READMEs stay aligned. The source package and changelog remain the reference for verified limits.
  • The current visual and assistive-technology review remains open in docs/ai/QUALITY_AUDIT.md.
Preview

Known limits

  • This is a beta: component APIs and visual tokens may still change before 0.1.0 stable.
  • The seven complex-component assistive-technology reviews remain open; browser tests do not replace manual visual and screen-reader review.
  • Native, Angular and web registries remain unimplemented.
  • The Playground bundle still exceeds the Vite 500 kB warning threshold.
