Getting started
Introduction
One visual language. A foundation you can make your own.
A system, in layers
Pimolu combines React components, shared CSS and platform-neutral design data. The React layer owns behavior and typed APIs. The CSS layer owns rendering. Tokens connect colors, type, spacing and visual presets.
React and Next.js are implemented today. React Native, Angular and CDN integrations are future directions, not available adapters.
Start with what exists
The five library packages are published on npm at 0.1.0-beta.1. Install the beta with pnpm add @pimolu/react@beta @pimolu/web-styles@beta. A component-copy CLI is not available yet.
Docs explains integration, themes and application conventions. The separate Components catalog covers all 129 families with a live example, copyable source, generated API reference and specific usage and accessibility advice.
One system. Your identity.
Use the existing visual presets as a starting point, then adjust your brand, radius and density through PimoluProvider. Keep component behavior independent from the preset.
Use className, style and CSS variables for local composition. Reuse semantic tokens instead of hardcoding a second light/dark palette.
